HELP US SAVE SANTA’S FLOAT AND THE PORT PERRY CHRISTMAS PARADE
The beautiful, vintage Santa Float that makes its grand tour throughout Downtown Port Perry in the annual Port Perry Christmas parade is in danger of never being seen again.
And well, as a town that has been proudly hosting Santa and his reindeer on his very own float for over 29 years, we simply cannot let that happen.
So, the Chamber Marketing and Events Elves are on the case.
We have established a list of repairs that spans from electrical repairs to fresh paint. From a Safe Santa’s Sleigh to 8 happy and glowing reindeer.
And it’s not cheap. Saving Santa never is.
We need $10,000 to make the Santa Float safe to fly.
The Chamber doesn’t have any Santa Bucks hanging around, so we created a fundraising campaign that everyone can gift just a couple of bucks to.
The thing is, there is a whole history that could disappear in the blink of an eye if we don’t raise the funds needed.
There are “future memories” on the brink of extinction.
We don’t want to just snub out a tradition steeped in community memories, and we don’t want to steal the magic of Christmas from any of the many, many families that have come to rely on The Port Perry Santa Parade to kick off Christmas.
