This December, the North Durham Chamber of Commerce is excited to celebrate the magic of the holiday season with the Miracle on Water Street Shop Local Campaign!
Running from December 1st to 18th, this initiative is designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore and support the revitalized Water Street business area in Downtown Port Perry.
Supporting Local Businesses
This Fall, our small businesses on Water Street very patiently awaited the completion of some very necessary construction work in the area. With their resilience and positive attitude along with the dedicated efforts of the Township of Scugog and construction crews, the project was completed efficiently, minimizing delays. Now, with the area newly revamped, it’s the perfect time to help these businesses grow and shine this holiday season.
How the Campaign Works
- Shop & Enter: Customers who spend $25 or more at participating Water Street businesses will receive a ballot for a chance to win a gift basket filled with local goodies. The more you visit, the more chances to win! Participating businesses will display the campaign poster in their windows or at their cash registers.
- Exclusive Prize: The gift basket showcases items generously contributed by Water Street merchants as well as friendly supporters from our wonderful Scugog business community, highlighting the unique and wonderful offerings of this vibrant area.
- Drawing Date: The draw will take place on December 19th, with winners announced on the Chamber’s social media channels.
Participating businesses will have promotional signage and ballots on hand to engage shoppers, and the Chamber will lead a comprehensive marketing campaign to ensure the event receives wide attention.
