Murder Mystery Evening
Scugog Shores Museum Village
Explore the Museum village and help the detectives solve a mysterious murder. All assistant detectives will have the opportunity to interview the villagers and search for clues, in order to get to the bottom of this puzzling crime. Prizes, donated by local merchants, will be awarded to the detectives who catch the culprit. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. Port Perry Town & Country House Tour
Port Perry United Church Community Outreach present our 1st annual Town & Country House Tour on Saturday, September 25, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
We are thrilled that eight of the finest homes in beautiful, historic Port Perry and surrounding area have been graciously donated for the tour!
This is a charitable event with all proceeds supporting three very important local organizations -- Durham Youth Housing, Community Care Durham, and Second Stage Housing for Women.
We are excited about this project. Not only will you have a wonderful day full of amazing architecture, lovely gardens, and inspiring decorating, but you will also make a positive impact on at-risk youth, women, and the elderly within our community.

Enjoy a night that will not be forgotten when some 500 people join to walk in the Candlelight Walk through Downtown Port Perry on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
Experience the magic of the season. Join us in an enchanting candlelit stroll and Tree Lighting Extravaganza. Meet Santa and his live reindeer!
Enjoy a candlelit procession down Queen Street starting from Reflection Park to Palmer Park. Candles will be sold in Reflection Park starting at 6:30 p.m. along with a Warm Hands Warm Heart Tree for the United Way. Scarves, hats, and Mitts will be on the tree to purchase with all proceeds going to your United Way to support your local community.
Downtown merchants invite you to get a jump on your Christmas shopping. Stores will be open until 8:00 pm with specials and festive treats.
Come and join in the holiday celebrations and a festivity that will be talked about for many holidays to come.

The Parade Route:
The parade will travel along Reach Street, to Simcoe Street (turn right), south to Queen Street, (turn left), then along Queen Street to end at Water Street. All floats, with the exception of emergency vehicles, will exit the parade route turning right along Water Street to Mary Street.

Children’s Old-Fashioned Christmas
Scugog Shores Museum Village
Step back in time and experience Christmas over 100 years ago. The Scugog Shores Museum Village will be hosting the Children’s Old-Fashioned Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 6 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Santa will be hearing wishes in the Pioneer Schoolhouse. Take a tour of the Museum Village, traditionally decorated for the holidays. Victorian Christmas crafts for children, heritage demonstrations and refreshments will be offered throughout the day. Admission is $2.00/adult, children 12 & under are free.
