Business for Breakfast – In-coming Federal government proposed small business tax changes & Minimum Wage Changes in 2018.
The Scugog Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast with Dr. Michael Konopaski & Sara Bibb, CHRL. will be held on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 at the Emmanuel Community Church.
Dr. Michael Konopaski is a Chartered Professional Accountant and the managing director of Inclusive Advisory (which includes Scugog Accounting – an accounting practice that has been at 250 Queen Street in Port Perry since 1973). Inclusive Advisory is a multi-disciplinary practice which includes accounting, wealth management and law. His PhD is in entrepreneurship and his focus is on family owned and operated businesses and professionals.
The SCC is also hosting Sara Bibb, CHRL from MKS HR Consulting who will be discussing Bill 148, Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act 2017 which has many changes that affect all employers. Sara will walk you through all the proposed changes under Bill 148 so you can prepare what your next steps as employers may be for these upcoming changes.
Sara Bibb, has her Bachelor’s degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and her post-graduate program in Human Resources Management at Seneca College. She has also obtained her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in 2009.
The breakfast will be held at Emmanuel Community Church, 1680 Reach St. Port Perry.
Registration is at 7:30am.
Tickets are available at a cost of $20.00 per person for members and $25.00 per person for “future” members which includes a breakfast.
Reservations are required Wednesday, November 29, 2017. There will be no tickets sold at the door. Reservations may be canceled up to 48 hours in advance of the meeting. We regret we must invoice those who fail to cancel in advance to cover preparation costs for the caterers.
