The Scugog Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast, in celebration of Entrepreneurs month, is hosting two local businesses Dana Smith, Owner of Dana’s  Goldsmithing and James Oliver, Director of Marketing and Sales, Adamson System Engineering.

Dana and James will be sharing their successes and challenges and new projects on their horizons in 2018!  Breakfast will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 at the Emmanuel Community Church.

Adamson Systems Engineering has become a poster child for Canadian Exporters, with more than 97% of their annual turnover being shipped outside ofCanada. Adamson has more than 70 resale partners in 35 countries including an international team dedicated to sales and support. A perfect example of how to thrive in Manufacturing

in a challenging business climate.
Working under Brock Adamson, James Oliver has been tasked with the management of Adamson’s expanding international sales network. Since his appointment in 2014, the distribution network has flourished and the company is expanding on all fronts. This growth has sparked the need for a now-completed 40,000 sq.ft. addition to its production facility in Port Perry which now employs close to 100 people in Scugog Township.

Dana Smith has owned and operated Dana’s Goldsmithing since its inception in 1992. She is a certified goldsmith, graduate gemmologist, and jewellery designer.

Her approach to business is a progressive one in terms of keeping up to date with new trends and the latest technological advances.

As a leader of her team, she supports their growth by ongoing training and new opportunities within the company. Dana has always believed in the great importance of community and giving back to those that have supported her. She has been involved in countless local charitable and fundraising efforts over the years.

Dana is very excited to embark on her latest and largest project to date, an extensive transformation of the store both in concept and design.
