How do I log into the website?

When you register with the Scugog Chamber of Commerce, you should receive an email containing your User Name and Password, which will enable to you log into the site and customize your profile.  If you haven’t received this email, please contact us. If you’ve forgotten your access information, use the ‘Forgot Password’ link. This will send an email with directions to reset your password.

Once you have your access information use the ‘Member Login‘ box you’ll see to the right of the page.  Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see a dark bar across the top of the site:

I’ve forgotten my log-in information, how do I access my account?

At the bottom of the “Member Login” area to the right, you’ll see a link to “Lost your password?“. This will bring you to a page where you’ll need to add your username or email address. Clicking the “Get New Password” button will send a password reset link to your email.

Once you’ve received this email, click the link, and you’ll be returned to the site to choose a new password. This will grant you access to the website.

How do I update my password?

First you’ll need to log into the site.  Once you can see the dark bar across the top, hover over your name near the top right.  A menu will drop down, with a link to ‘Edit My Profile’.  Clicking this will bring you to your profile update tool.

Scroll down past the ‘Name’, ‘Contact Info’ and ‘About Yourself’ headings until you see ‘New Password’.  Enter the new password you’d like to use, twice.  The strength indicator will tell you if this is a strong password.  The password should be at least seven characters long. To make it stronger, use upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols like ! ” ? $ % ^ & ).  Once you’re done, you can scroll to the bottom and click the blue ‘Update Profile‘ button to save your new password.

How do I update my profile?

Use the scroll bar to move between the different options and information areas that you can fill in to populate your profile, including ways to contact you, information about yourself & your business, and a photo or logo.  Once you’re done, you can click the blue ‘Update Profile‘ button to save your changes.

How do I contribute to the blog?

Members are invited to contribute news and articles to the blog in one of the following ways:

  1. BLOG BY EMAIL

    Send an email to blogit@scugogchamber.ca using the email address that you used when joining Scugog Chamber of Commerce.  The subject line will be the title of your blog post.

  2. BLOG VIA WEBSITE

    1. Log in to your member account,
    2. Hover over the ‘+ New’ icon in the dark bar across the top of the screen
    3. Click on ‘Post
    4. Type your blog post and format it the way you like using the easy-to-use WYSIWYG  (What You See Is What You Get) editor.
    5. Click the blue ‘Submit for Review‘ button when you’ve got it just right.

Your blog post will appear on the website after being approved by an administrator.

How do I add events to the member calendar?

  1. BLOG VIA WEBSITE

    1. Log in to your member account,
    2. Hover over the ‘+ New’ icon in the dark bar across the top of the screen
    3. Click on ‘Event
    4. Enter all of your event details and format it the way you like using the easy-to-use WYSIWYG  (What You See Is What You Get) editor.
    5. Click the blue ‘Submit for Review‘ button when you’ve got it just right.

Your blog post will appear on the website after being approved by an administrator.
